Situation with agriculture
Near the Almaty there are 10 to 20 ths. hect. of non-uses watering, arable fields. The farmers do not have enough resources to process them - neither money nor pledge. That's why banks do not want to finance them.
in Almaty city there are 5 milk processing fabrics, 56 sousage factories, vegetable processing and juice. Almost all the raw materials for this factories is imported from Uzbek, Kyrgyz and Russia. From 8 sugar proccessing factories only 4 are exist, and supplied only for 10% of their needs from local raw materials, only 5 % of countries needs are covered with local raw-materials, the rest 90% is imported.
Kazakhstan can cover all it's need with it's own raw-materials and cover all the needs for the products but because of current situation Kazakhstan imports sugar, milk products, sun-flower oil, meat, wheat, sweets etc.
There 272, 5 mio hect. of land in Kazakhstan. The agrar sector is represented with appx. 5 ths. farms
In the villages are living appx. 40 % of all population .
The average moisture level is 90 mm in the desert, in the steeppe areas 250 - 400 mm moisture per year. The summer season starts in middle may and on the north in june.
In the west Kazakhstan increasing territories for spring wheat, rye, and in Akmola, Kostanai and North area - hard wheat, corns and grain crop types. The areas for oilyseeds for porcorn, soya, and sugar beets in Almaty and Zhambyl.
