Our wwoof kazakhstan experience in winter

Hello from Matthias und Veronika and we are from Germany,

It was some kind of wwoof-exchange as there was a wwoofer last year at my mother's farm (sonnwendhof.de). 
Me and my girlfriend are on bicycle-tour and as we had to stay in 
Kazakhstan around New Year, the decision was easy to made to visit to Karaganda. We got friendly hosted in Karaganda. As 
we wanted to wwoof, but every earth was covered under thick 
snow-blankets, we worked on the house. The host once started to raise a shower, as there was none before. The wall was built as well as wall 
tiles, so we did the rest of the tiles and all the waterpipes and taps. 
A real experience in Kazakhstan, where things are not obviously 
available. Walking hours by hours over lokal markets in stern winter... 
But: The host took us often to the karaghandian sights, so we got an 
interessting insight in central-kazakhstan life and history - or we 
discussed at evening-tables philosophies ans politics.
